Turning Twenty

First thing I did when I woke up was open up my packages
Thank you Family! I love you guys. The letters were all lovely. Jacob's and Nicole's (shown below) definitely gave me an extra laugh.
After church  the kids and I went to the Garden of Gethsemane.
Awesome. How many people in the world can say they went to the Garden of Gethsemane on their birthday?
This life I'm currently living is too great.

(left) The Ludlow family decorated my door for my birthday. Thanks guys!
(right) Mark didn't wear green, he made a lame attempt to touch the green exit sign, but I pinched him anyway
They sang Happy Birthday to me :)
Hello world! I am now entering the decade of decisions! Yes, I’m twenty. Yesterday at Dinner I was talking to some friends about decades. We decided that 10-19 is the most important decade of our lives seeing as those ten years really define who we are and set the course for the rest of our lives. The twenties (ahem…my current decade) will involve many important decisions including where to live, who to marry, kids, major, career, all the good stuff.

I've officially lived twenty years. I made it without any major bumps or bruises. I'm so grateful for all the people I've met over these past twenty years, so happy the way my life has turned out thus far. I am who I am today because of the Church. Everything about it has shaped who I am. So here I am world, the twenty-year old me makin' decisions!

Happy Birthday!

Today is my blog's first birthday! The first post I wrote was on June 7, 2010. I can't believe I've had this blog for a whole year. To celebrate I made black bean salad...really heathy, but really addicting. You can get the recipe here

I also made cheesecake for the Senator's birthday

I spent all of Sunday baking for the cheesecake competition I was in (note to self: never bake on a fast sunday...especially when church is at three) . When I got to work me and my competitor found out we had both made the same kind of cheesecake. whoops.

I considered it a success when I found out eight different senators ate a piece!

(I've kind of got this cooking-bug goin' on. As I type this I've got banana bread in the oven)

Happy Birthday Kam Bam Shazam!

It all started my freshmen year seventh period. I walked into that sewing class hardly knowing anyone until Kami Rosen sat down next to me. I had always known of Kami Rosen; I'd even played on the same soccer team as her. But it wasn't until that fateful day, January 16 2006 when we formed a friendship that would take us into college.

One of my favorite things about Kami is that she makes ever one feel so special. She makes you feel like the funniest person on the planet.

Last Sunday was Kami's 19th birthday, she's-a growin up on me!
I love you Kam Bam thank you for all of the AWESOME memories!
