Rollin' Through the City

Beginning the day with warm pitas from the Old City is one of the best things one can do for the soul
Ethan, Erin and I were getting sick of the every-day routine of walking
every where so we rented some bikes in West-J and blissfully rolled through the city on
some wheels. I might have run into a pole within two minutes of the ride, but it inspired
me to ride with my helmet so it was probably a good thing.
Shots from West Jerusalem
p.s. I'm addicted to those things on the left. It's kind of bad.
We went to the waffle bar in celebration of my birthday.
This place. SO good.
55/82 kids went to Tel Aviv today so Axmed (our chef) provided the non-Tel Avivers
with ice cream for dessert. The center is rather quiet with everyone gone, but it's kind
of nice. I'm currently plopped nicely on all of the bean bags in the student lounge.
Yup, I get them all to myself!

Tomorrow we leave to Galilee for 12 days!
Rumors are the internet is sketchy so I might disappear for a little bit.

Happy Birthday Kam Bam Shazam!

It all started my freshmen year seventh period. I walked into that sewing class hardly knowing anyone until Kami Rosen sat down next to me. I had always known of Kami Rosen; I'd even played on the same soccer team as her. But it wasn't until that fateful day, January 16 2006 when we formed a friendship that would take us into college.

One of my favorite things about Kami is that she makes ever one feel so special. She makes you feel like the funniest person on the planet.

Last Sunday was Kami's 19th birthday, she's-a growin up on me!
I love you Kam Bam thank you for all of the AWESOME memories!

My weekend in a blog post

Some kids came knocking on our door playing the game "bigger or better". We traded them our box of recycling for this sweet cardboard box...pretty sure we came out with the better end of the deal.

My roommate, Liz, is on the ballet team at BYU. She just had her recital and managed to do three shows with two sprained ankles. Moriah and I made up a dance for her to show her how proud of her we were.

This is me and my friend Gil after his choir concert; he is a reaally good singer.

Weekend

This week some friends and I went down to MONA LAKE.
I was really excited to go but there was only one problem: I didn't know where it was. I didn't let that stop us and we went anyway. Bad idea. It took us about two hours to find it. Half of our group had to go because they were going to be late for work.
It was worth the wait though. It was beautiful!
picture perfect summer moment.
The water was as warm as a pool and the water was crystal clear. We took turns on the rope swing then swam around in the lake before heading back home. It ended up being a great summer morning.

Then on Friday me and this same group plus KAMI, BRIELLE, and ANNA MARIE went up to the Draper temple and had our soon-to-be-missionary-friend-on-Wedneday do babtisms for the dead with us. Afterward we went out for dinner and saw Charlie St. Cloud at a drive-in movie.

Think the fun is over? Not quite.

The next morning I drove up to our cabin in Brighton (on four hours of sleep) and met my family for an eight mile hike!
I had a fun time hiking up with my siblings, Zane and Emily and enjoyed the pretty nature. After we got back I had a quick nap then went canoeing. After it was up to PARK CITY for dinner.
Once our bellies were full of delicious mexican food we headed back to Brighton, played games and watched a slide show of family pictures.

As you can see I had quite the fun weekend. Who says you can't work and still have fun at the same time? It's August and that means time to jam-pack as many things from that summer list as I can before I move out and start college at BYU.

Celtic Storm '92

I love these girls!

I couldn't ask for a better group of eighteen beautiful, talented, funny girls.

Every single one of them has brought something into my life to make it wonderful

From memories of hanging out in the hotel rooms during tournaments, confessing everything about our lives to witnessing a fight on the field during the game before us to eating out at resteraunts and going to church with each other. I love all of these memories!

Getting a work out just by making each other laugh SO hard
visiting temples
winning tournaments
celebrating each other's birthdays
FLORIDA :)
And who can forget the skill this team had? Multiple multiple multiple championships won. Second best in the state. unbelievable scores goals and unbelievable goals blocked. slide tackling, throw-ins, yellow cards, poo-in-a-half. jokes. injuries. This team was one of the best things I have ever been a part of!
This is a picture of us playing in a literal BLIZZARD! Snow hills were forming on my head.

Good luck to everyone playing college (especially those going to BYU-Gel and hilary) And a special thank you to the team moms and coaches.

I love you guys! Thank you for making my life twenty times better! I WIL MISS YOU ALL!
