Bridals

I have no idea if it is nontraditional for me to post pictures of my dress before the wedding.
That's something I've noticed about weddings--there are a lot of traditions. Some of them I love
and some of them I don't care for. Posting pictures of my dress pre-wedding for example....
I got tons of pictures and felt bad hiding them all away in my iphoto while only picking a handful
to be displayed at the wedding. So I decided I'd let my few blog followers grab a sneak peak.
:)

Here we go boys and girls, 2 more days and I'll be Mrs. Marchant. All nerves aside, I'm the luckiest girl to be marrying Gilbert. For the past 3 yeas I have hoped for this day. He is everything I'd pray I could marry. We have some crazy adventures ahead of us. But after driving across the U.S.A. with him last week I'm confident that there is no other person I'd want to go through these adventures with than him.

p.s. Brooke Shultz was our photographer

Two weeks & invitations

I can't believe Gil and I get married in two weeks.
Here is a look at the front and back of our invitations.
My favorite part about them is that they came per-addressed and hardly took any work to assemble!
If any of you blog readers are near-by you are more than welcome to come.
There will be frozen yogurt.... :)

Engagement Pictures

"I can't wait until we get married so I can kill all the spiders for you"
-Gilbert W. Marchant

Our engagements are here!
After it rained on the day we were supposed to take them I was afraid they
wouldn't work out in time.
Lindsey Orton took them and I couldn't be happier about her work!
See them on her blog here

In the mean time....
these are some of my favorites ;)

I finally understand what people mean when they say they fall more and more in love every day.

Sneak Peeks of our wedding.

I never understood how weddings took so long to plan. All you had to do was pick some colors, a cake, find a wedding dress and you were pretty much good to go. After being engaged for three weeks I now see how very wrong I was. details details details! And to be honest, I'm probably the only one who will notice the missing details. No one else is going to say, "Oh my goodness, they didn't have flowers by the cake!". While I'm over here stressing that not everything is going to be perfect...

It's fun though. It really is! picking out the colors, cake, and invitations is something I thrive off of! But Lately the stress has been creeeeeping up on me. Like when it rains on the day we were supposed to take our engagements, or I get a ticket for a really stupid reason, or school gets in the way of wedding stuff. It's harder than I thought it was going to be.

Luckily for me I've got a patient, understanding, and caring fiance. Who will make me laugh so hard during wedding registry that I've got hiccups for an hour and who will sit down and arrange/compose ( I don't know the music lingo) our piano duet for our wedding lunch. A fiance who will go to all of the marriage prep classes with me and take notes. And a fiance who will take me on a date to ikea and make me sit in every chair, lay on every bed, and test out every kitchen just for fun. These next two months are going to be absolutely crazy, emotional, and fun. I'm excited.

And just because you were so kind to let me rant about wedding plans....I'll let you take a sneak peek of some of my ideas....

I made cupcakes

I love cupcakes.
They are perfectly proportioned cakes of goodness.
For my brothers wedding I volunteered to make over two hundred cupcakes..and the wedding cake. I spent two weeks covered in cake batter and frosting, but it was worth it!
The following pictures are from the wedding and they are taken by my sister and John Courtright.

Blueberry

Oreo

Nutella

Orange white chocoalte

The wind almost knocked this baby over...I would have died.
