Madelyne Ruby Osborn

Maddie! NOOOOOOOO! It’s your birthday! You’re 20 J
I feel like it was only yesterday we were in middle school together. Slipping “happy Elf day!” into random people’s lockers at Christmas time. Playing jokes on people together. Endlesslly and devotedly riding down the hill in the golf cart.

Why I love you:
1.You have an obsession with curry
“yeah, but I bet she makes good rice”
“What are you thinking about right now?” “Curry.”
2.We’d sleep talk to each other almost every night
3. Your cackle. Oh, I  miss that cackle
4.You listen to me when I’d had a bad day or missed someone
5.You dance around with me in the hallway
6.You sing songs with me in the kitchen
7.You try to sneak in late at night, but I ALWAYS catch you
8.You are always up for doing something fun (does anybody have any string!?)
9.The way you reacted to everything that happened to you last semester
10. You are SO pretty
11. You like country music
12. You can eat SO much food, yet never gain a pound
13. You educate me
14. You are always offering me new insights on life
15. You have a strong testimony
16. Talking to eachother late into the night even when we would have school the next day
17. You encouraged me and supported me in everything I was trying to do
18. You love life and everything about it
19. You are hilarious
20.You make me want to be a better person

finished

GUYS!
I finished! I'm done with the most important semester I've had thus far.
I'm sitting on my bed--in my moved-out room--with the weirdest feeling. Is it weird that I miss school? I feel like I've been in a relationship with school for the past four months and we just broke up. I miss it a little bit. yeah, Harold, I miss you. (for those of you that are Aggies, Harold is the name of the BYU library). I won't coming be back to campus next semester due to the fact that I will be in JERUSALEM.

(It hasn't hit me yet.)

It's amazing how much taking classes that actually interest you will make you like school more. I've found my love and I'm sticking to it! Speaking of accounting, my Xtax team made it to nationals in DC. yes, I get to go back to the place I grew to love over the summer.

I was walking home from the testing center today, after I had taken my last test, and I had an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for this past semester. It was a gift from heaven. Everything from my roommates, fhe brothers, classes, family, experiences, ward, xtax, friends...everything was a precious gift that I am extremely grateful for. I am really going to miss my Lafayette 18 girls.

Merry Christmas!

Nutella Fight

It tastes good, has nice texture, is fun to fight with and is hopefully good for your hair.
I love Nutella.

Empire State of Mind and Famous Roommates

I've been wanting to go to New York City at least once this summer while living in DC...so of course we went the very last weekend possible. My 2445 roommates and I took the bus to NYC and spent 48 hours in the great city.

Even though we missed our bus on the way there we still managed to get to New York (it just required a few extra hours sitting at the sketchy bus stop in china town....where you see things like "I will kill you" on the bathroom stall).

My roommates and I somehow managed to cross off everything we wanted to see on our list. The highlight of the trip was when Sheryl, Alisha and I walked out of the place we were staying to see a taxi with Sheryl's face on it drive by! What the? My roommate is famous!!!!

Actually I already knew she was famous, but it was cool to see her face on the taxi, nonetheless. So we ran like hooligans and chased the taxi down to grab a quick picture.

I love this woman. You can watch her mormon.org video right here!
Or...you can watch her in a different video being equally awesome.

Going to New York City was amazing, but it made me appreciate DC so much more. Washington DC is the perfect amount of city for me. Coming back home to see the capitol building standing proudly in the center of the city was very similar to the feeling I get when I come home from a long trip and see the Y on the mountain. the feeling of coming home. (three days left until I leave...Imma miss it)

Barber shop in 2445

My roommates, they are awesome.
The other day my roommate, Nina, asked me to cut her hair. I just laughed and said, "You don't want me to do that". Seriously though...unlike my sister (shout out to the emdawg) I'm terrible with hair! But a few days later she asked me again. this time just to give her some bangs. So I mustered up the courage, calmed myself down, grabbed a pair of scissors and did my duties as a roommate.

As for the results? Not too shabby if I do say so myself!

My favorite part was definitely the photo shoot we did after...We may have brought out the blow dryer..

BYU

OKAY! So I took some pictures of my first week of school but my camera was being GHETTO and wouldn't upload them. I had to upload them on my dormmates, send them to myself...long process. but here they are :)

We made German Pancakes for breakfast on Sunday morning. Church starts at 1:30 so we have tooonsss of time to sit and stare at each other while we wait to go to church.

I had to work until 12:30 am. I came home to find this lovely note on my bed.

First day of College

Don't ask me to explain her weird ways
